The Story

The Mephisto with Mandolin Sculpture by Auguste De Wever from the Maxfield Private Collection. Auguste De Wever, a 19th-century Belgian sculptor born in 1856, constructed this sculpture from gilded bronze. This piece includes both the mandolin and the sword, and they can be removed if desired.
